Why Jerry Jones brought Blue Star Imaging to Valley Ranch As a professional sports team, having access to the very best in medical treatment is a necessity. It is something that you must have to stay competitive. Since moving to Valley Ranch in 1986, we have always had full X-ray machine facilities right here at our team headquarters for the immediate evaluation of injuries that take place during practice. As medical technology has evolved with the MRI's and CT scans, we felt it was just as important to have that type of facility at our Valley Ranch headquarters. Our organization was in need of MRI evaluations and/or CT scans on the average of two times a week during the NFL season. I decided to make an investment in owning and operating our own MRI and CT scan technology and placing them as close as possible to our players. I quickly realized that this same technology would fill a need in this community. First we felt that if we are going to have state-of-the-art medical imaging technology in our facility for use by the Dallas Cowboys, then why not make it available to the public. Our feeling is that you shouldn't have to be a world class athlete to get world class treatment. After looking into the field of public diagnostic imaging services, we thought it would be beneficial to our local community in this area to offer a facility that meets the following two important criteria:
In the end, this was a very simple decision for our organization—and one that we thought would benefit our community at several levels. We have state of the art technology available to the world class athletes at our complex as well as the people in our community.
